The Problem

Distraction isn’t a willpower problem.
It’s a data problem.

Most people try to fight distraction blindly. They download blockers, set timers, and muddling through their way through the afternoon. It doesn’t last — because they’ve never actually looked at what’s pulling them away, or why.

“The cure for distraction is not more willpower — it’s becoming indistractable.”

Nir Eyal — Author of Indistractable

Target Target

You don’t know your triggers

Most distractions begin as an internal feeling — anxiety, boredom, uncertainty. Without logging them, you repeat the same patterns every day.

Clock Clock

You don’t see your patterns

Is 2pm your danger zone? Does Slack cost you three hours a day? Without data, you can only guess.

You have nowhere to reflect

Awareness is the first step in Nir Eyal’s framework. Distraction Tracker gives you a quiet, private space to build that awareness systematically.

How It Works

Four calm steps to reclaiming your focus.

Most people try to fight distraction blindly. They download blockers, set timers, and white-knuckle their way through the afternoon. It doesn’t last — because they’ve never actually looked at what’s pulling them away, or why.

Rooted in Nir Eyal’s Indistractable method

Distraction Tracker is built directly on the distinction Nir Eyal makes in his bestselling book Indistractable — the most important insight most people miss.

Not all distractions come from outside. Most begin inside — as a feeling you’re trying to escape. When you know which type is affecting you, you can respond to it intelligently rather than just resist it.

Internal Triggers

Uncomfortable feelings you try to escape through distraction — the root cause of most focus loss.

Anxiety Boredom Loneliness Fatigue Uncertainty

External Triggers

Cues in your environment that pull your attention away — interruptible but only once you’ve identified them.

FAQ

Questions, answered calmly

Not at all. The onboarding explains everything you need to know about internal and external triggers. The app works beautifully as a standalone tool — the book is simply the intellectual foundation it’s built on.

Only you. Your distraction log is entirely private and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising. We are GDPR compliant, store data in the EU, and you can export or delete everything at any time.

You select the distraction entries you want to explore, click “Analyse”, and AI reviews them through the lens of Nir Eyal’s framework — identifying root triggers, time-of-day patterns, and one or two specific, actionable recommendations. The first 5 analyses are completely free.

Yes. Android and iOS apps are on the roadmap. For now, the web app is fully mobile-responsive and can be saved to your home screen as a PWA (Progressive Web App) for a near-native experience.

We believe your attention tool should never be an attention-harvesting tool. No ads means no ad revenue — so occasionally we’ll gently ask if you’d like to support the project. It’s always optional, always gracious, and you can dismiss it with no consequence.

Absolutely. Your Settings page includes a one-click account deletion that permanently removes all your data from our servers. No waiting, no support ticket required.
